Sierra Sands Unified School District

About Us

The Sierra Sands Unified School District is located in the Indian Wells Valley of California. It was established in 1960 and serves all of Indian Wells Valley, including the cities of Ridgecrest, Inyokern, China Lake, Randsburg, Johannesburg, and Pearsonville. The District serves an estimated 35,000 residents with six elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and adult school.

Our vision statement is “Growing a community of engaged learners connecting to future opportunities through innovative education.” We value our strong partnership with community organizations, businesses, and individuals.
